"1- DRAIN
- Nourish your skin deeply beforehand, ideally using an oil, then run the Gua Sha under warm water.
- Place the heart-shaped part of the Gua Sha under the right ear and slide it along the vertical part of the lower jaw. X2 rapid rocking movements
- Under your right ear and move down along your neck to your collarbone. X2 rapid rocking movements
- Start in the middle of your chin, the heart-shaped part facing inwards so the contour of your face is between the two lobes. Move it along your lower jaw up to underneath your right ear. Using your left hand, hold the skin in place once the Gua Sha has gone around the chin. X2 rapid rocking movements
- Vertically, with the heart-shaped part facing inwards towards the mouth, the long, flat part facing upwards. Making sure you go under your cheekbone, slide the Gua Sha from your mouth to your ear. Using your left hand, hold the skin in place on the right corner of your mouth. X2 rapid rocking movements
- Horizontally, with the heart-shaped part facing inwards towards your nose and the long, flat part facing upwards, so that your cheekbone is in the notch of the Gua Sha. Slide it around your cheekbone to your right temple. Using your left hand, hold the skin in place to the right of your nostrils. X2 rapid rocking movements
- Horizontally, with the heart-shaped part facing towards the middle of the eyebrows and the long, flat part facing upwards, so that your brow arch is in the notch of the Gua Sha. Slide it along your brow arch to your right temple. Using your left hand, hold the skin in place at the inner tip of your eyebrow. X2 rapid rocking movements
- Horizontally in the middle of the forehead, with the heart-shaped part facing inwards. Smooth from your forehead to your temple, holding the skin on your forehead in place with your left hand, then turn the Gua Sha on its edge and move down along the right-hand side of your face. Now place the long part flat again under the ear and move down along your neck to your collarbone. X2 rapid rocking movements
2- SMOOTH & EXFOLIATE
- The Gua Sha can also be used as a “magic eraser” on all your expression lines (horizontal forehead wrinkles, frown lines, wrinkles around the lip contour).
- One of its sides (the one most suited to your face shape and the area) is placed at a right angle to the face in the same direction as the expression line. While holding the tissue in place with your free hand, make small perpendicular backwards and forwards motions in the same direction as the expression line. X10
3- LIFT
To be performed on firm and elastic skin to avoid weakening the tissue
Place the Gua Sha flat under your right collarbone. Applying gentle pressure and keeping the Gua Sha as flat as possible, move along the neck, go around the lower jaw and slide up to under your cheekbone. You should feel as if you are lifting the bottom of your face with this movement. Hold the skin only very gently in place with your left hand at the collarbones, so as not to pull the muscles of the face downwards. X6"
